    Prenatal Yoga

Yoga in it’s essence is an exploration of breath, and overall body health.  This makes it an ideal way to stretch and strengthen the key muscles important during pregnancy and delivery.  Mothers can discover ways to remain strong and increase flexibility as their bodies change.  Delight in specialized postures that alleviate common troubles such as back/hip pain, restless legs, sciatica etc.

As breathing is such an important part of yoga, expecting mothers can learn breathing techniques to relax during delivery and of course from time-to-time with the demands of a new baby.  Enjoy this practice in a unique group of women that understand what you are going through and are eager to exchange ideas and support.

" ‘Taking a prenatal yoga class is a great way to meet other pregnant women — to become part of a community,’ says Cynthea Denise, a registered nurse and prenatal yoga instructor in Oakland, California. Being in a positive, supportive environment with others like you can give you a regular emotional boost and keep you motivated to continue exercising.”
